This collaborative audiovisual project, situated on the border between documentary and video essay, aims to conceptually address several dimensions. Alongside the demolition of the department store, a certain era of modernist city planning comes to an end. The irreplaceable materiality of brutalism and the architecture of the 70s and 80s of the 20th century is vanishing irreversibly. The way of retail is undergoing transformation, along with related demands on commercial spaces. While the retail areas of the shopping center are trying to keep up with the times, the warehouses and administrative sections have been cleared out and prepared for their inevitable end. Despite unfavorable circumstances, we perceive this as a unique and final opportunity to capture this transitional phase in the building's life. In addition to the main character - the department store building - it is also crucial to observe all the driving forces behind the process of demolition and the transformation of the city center.
