The workshop will take place on 7 and 8 October 2024 and will focus on creating a micro-strategy and defining relationships in the urban context that can be the basis for future architectural designs. The capacity of the workshop is 20 people. The workshop will be evaluated with 1 ETCS credit. The workshop will be held in Czech and English. Registration via email: suchanek.r@vutbr.cz

The aim of the workshop is to create a micro-strategy for the given urban relations and to create a "story" of the project. It is not about developing a specific architectural design, but about defining the relationships and a strategy that will serve as a basis for future design. The key objective is to find the logic and sense of place with respect to external requirements. Participants will focus on organizing teamwork, creating strategic proposals and finding quick options that will allow for effective decision making to move the project forward.
The workshop will be led by a married couple, Ivana and Jan Benda, renowned Czech-Canadian architects with extensive experience in urban planning and architecture. The couple has long been dedicated to creating concepts that combine economic aspects with sustainable development and innovative approaches to urban environments. Ivana Benda is an expert in strategic project planning and creative concepts, while Jan Benda specialises in the technical and organisational aspects of large-scale projects. Together they have led a number of successful international workshops and projects that have focused on collaboration between different disciplines and effective teamwork.
